The 12th edition of Subasta Habana Cuban Art of all time was held last November 5th in Taganana Room of the Cuban National Hotel where 21 of 51 lots were sold.


The best sales, which reached values above its maximum estimate were lot 6 (Víctor Manuel. Estimate: 10,000 – 11,000 €; Hammer price: 16,000 €), 13 (Servando Cabrera Moreno. Estimate: 11,000 – 12,000 €; Hammer Price: 15,000 €), and 50 (Roberto Fabelo. Estimate: 7,000 – 8,000 €; Hammer price: 12,000 €). Precisly the work of Victor Manuel set a record for a work of this size in Subasta Habana. The lot 22 of Wifredo Lam, first drawing auctioned in Subasta Habana, was sold by 45,000 €, it was the best sales during the auction and the lot 49, Venado guerrero of Jose Bedia, raised 32, 000 €, standing at the sixth best-selling work by the artist and setting a record for a sculpture of him.

The Contemporary Art had best results than Modern Art. 11 of 16 lots were sold, standing the lot 45 of Ivan Capote Punto de vista was sold at 7,500 €; the lot 48 of Los Carpinteros at 9,500 € and the lot 51 of The Merger at 9,500 €.
